About the Academy

The Executive Search Academy offers companies the opportunity to learn and adopt processes that can lead to significant improvement in identifying, recruiting and retaining executive talent and in controlling the cost of recruiting at the executive level.

The Academy curriculum includes:
  • Competing effectively in the executive talent marketplace
  • Establishing and strengthening the executive recruiting management function
  • Building the organization's skills in the executive recruiting process
  • Assessing executive talent (including referencing)
  • Case studies in executive recruiting initiatives
  • Selecting and engaging executive search consultants
  • Establishing a corporate capability for direct recruiting at the executive level
The Academy curriculum has been developed by David Lord and a group of more than 100 Fortune 500 corporations that have participated in the Executive Search Information Exchange since 1996. In the course of more than 90 meetings of executive recruiting leaders from these companies, experiences in each of the areas above have been shared and evaluated, with conclusions recorded in a library of research reports from which the Academy curriculum has been drawn.

Invited corporate and independent executive recruiting professionals will assist in presenting and discussing best practices.

Participation in the Academy is open to Human Resources executives and other corporate executives interested in mastering the fundamentals of the executive recruiting process.
